We are a husband-and-wife team of CPAs and seasoned Chief Financial Officers, each with over 20 years of experience across both private and public companies. Our backgrounds span a wide range of industries—including mining, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, specialty chemicals, brewing and beverage, and public company compliance—giving us a broad, cross-sector perspective on how businesses operate, scale, and create value. Anne Yong, CPA, CA
Anne Yong is an accomplished financial and governance executive with more than 20 years of experience spanning mining, assurance, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. As a Compliance Officer of the SilverCrest Mines Inc., she was instrumental in executing the spin-off that established SilverCrest Metals Inc. Then as CFO played a pivotal leadership role in advancing SilverCrest Metals Inc. through all stages of its growth—from exploration and development to construction, commercial production, and operations—ultimately contributing to its acquisition for US$1.7 billion.
Throughout her career, Anne has raised over US$450 million through equity financings and managed credit facilities of up to US$120 million including leading and executing public market listings and uplistings from the TSX Venture Exchange to the TSX and from OTCQX to the NYSE American. She brings deep expertise in corporate governance, risk management, ESG reporting, treasury operations, and financial strategy, with a proven ability to build high-performing teams and lead organizations through complex growth phases.
Anne's background includes senior roles in public company assurance, regulatory experience with the BC Securities Commission, and extensive work in disclosure, compliance, and IFRS/US GAAP reporting. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Abner Yong, CPA, CA, CBV, ACG
Abner Yong is a seasoned finance and corporate executive with over 20 years of experience spanning multinational pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, and professional services. As CFO, he played a leading role in executing complex transactions, including the sale and merger of WEX Pharmaceuticals Inc. delivering a 2.3x return to shareholders.
Throughout his career, Abner has led complex licensing transactions, M&A, divestitures, and debt refinancings up to US$500 million, and has managed over US$1 billion in global cash and working capital across 16+ countries. He has deep expertise in corporate finance, treasury, business valuation, financial reporting (IFRS and US GAAP), and risk management, with a proven ability to build scalable finance functions and guide organizations through critical growth and transformation stages.
Abner's background includes senior roles at Methanex Corporation and Ernst & Young, as well as extensive experience in financial modelling, transaction advisory, and restructuring. He currently serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee of Praxis Spinal Cord Institute. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and Chartered Governance Professional (ACG).
